Q: Can I Order via Email or Telephone or Fax?

We prefer you to order using the ordering process though the website to keep administration costs down and minimize the chance of errors.

However, we can take orders over the phone and by email very easily. If you prefer to order offline or if having problems with the online ordering process, then do not hesitate to contact us.

Q: Can you zero rate any print items for VAT?

All our online printing is subject to VAT.

Certain printed items can be zero-rated for VAT, for example, books, funeral orders of service, flyers and newsletters.  We can zero rate these for VAT if the order is processed as a mail-order transaction.

If you are not sure about VAT relating to printed materials contact us for clarification before placing the order.

Q: What if I want to print something which is not a normal print size?

Our prices are always based upon the printed size NOT the finished size – so an A4 sheet printed on both sides and folded to A5 is priced as an A4 double-sided leaflet.

We work in “A” sizes – the principal sizes of which are -
A3 (297 mm x 420mm or 11.7” x 16.5”)
A4 (210mm x 297mm or 8.3” x 11.8”)
A5 (148mm x 210mm or 5.8” x 8.3”)
A6 (105mm x 148mm or 4.1” x 5.8")

If you can’t see the size you are looking for, then it is best to base your price on the next larger size.  For example, if you require compliment slips you need to base the order on A5 size.

Business cards are usually 85mm x 55mm but you can have them printed any size up to A7 (74mm x 105mm or 2.9” x 4.1”).

Letterheads are usually A4 size.

Q: Do you print anything else?

Yes – we can arrange to get virtually anything printed.  Whether you just have a single order or want a comprehensive print management service.  If you are unable to find the product online we will source it from one of our approved suppliers.

We are able to source printing at competitive prices from specialist suppliers throughout Europe.

We save you the time and hassle of placing orders and manage the order process from submitting artwork through to delivery.  We have a graphic design capability that will make your printing stand out!

Q: How does your quality guarantee apply?

Quality is very subjective and we always strongly recommend you take advantage of the FREE TRIAL option before placing your order.  With this option you try before you buy! Alternatively, to get a proof copy, place an order for one item and we will send it to you by the next working day.

Our quality guarantee covers any mistakes we make in the production and finishing stages of the order process.  However, we do not accept responsibility for moderate variations in colour or stock types from any previous orders or trial or proof copies.

Q: What if I want to print something confidential?

Everything we print remains totally confidential.  We do not keep records of your documents after they have been printed, unless by special request for possible re-orders.

On completion of printing, your file is destroyed.  We do not retain your electronic files or credit card details unless by prior agreement.

Q: What are your normal working hours?

Working hours are calculated from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday.  We do not operate or deliver on weekends or Bank Holidays unless by prior agreement, so please allow for this when placing orders.

Q: Are the delivery deadlines guaranteed?

Even with the best courier and parcel operations problems can occur and we would strongly recommend that you order as far as possible in advance.

By paying the premium delivery costs you benefit from having a certain peace of mind that the job will be delivered by the deadline stipulated when placing the order.  You need to allow a 30 minute tolerance for any timed next day deliveries.

If your time-critical documents are delayed for more than 30 minutes or reasons outside our control we will attempt to resolve the situation as soon as practically possible and our guarantee would apply.

It is worth noting that next day timed deliveries normally start at 8am and if your premises do not open before 9am it is best not to book a pre-9am delivery – as the driver may not be able to re-schedule delivery for later in the day.

If it is the first delivery attempt our courier will automatically try to redeliver the next working day (excluding Saturdays).

If the delivery has failed due to no one being available or the premises being inaccessible, our deadline guarantee will not apply.

It is advisable to place all urgent orders before 2pm to ensure production and delivery for the next working day.

Q: Can you deliver to multi-locations?

Yes – email full delivery address of each recipient – including post code/ telephone number/ mobile number with quantity details and we will package and distribute them to separate locations.

We will calculate extra costs and notify you accordingly.

Q: Can we order specific brands or types of paper or card?

We can print on a specific stock or any special requirements you may have but there may be a delay in delivery and no deadlines can be guaranteed. Try and obtain as much information about the stock you need.  Fill in the online form and we will then get a Custom Quote to you as soon as possible.

With Direct2PrintOnline customers are able to order luxury business stationery such as printed letterheads and compliment slips on 120gsm paper, or luxury business cards on up to  700gsm card with various finishes such as matt lamination, spotUV or embossing and foil blocking.

Q: Do you offer a design service?

We can offer a graphic design service to give you as much or as little as you want. Contact our Customer Services with an outline of your requirements and we will be able to give you some idea of the timescales and cost involved.

Q: Can we set up a credit account?

We offer credit facilities subject to certain conditions and terms. Contact our Customer Services and we will be able to give you some idea of the criteria that would apply and the procedures needed to get authorisation.

Q: Do you offer student or school discounts?

We offer a Special Introductory 50% discount off the printing cost of the first order for every new customer.

You can then continue getting 5% discounts if you complete our Feedback Form after each order.  After you have placed five or more orders you qualify for a 25% discount as a Premier Gold Customer..

We also offer some special reduced prices for charities, churches, colleges, schools and students.  Academic and religious establishments and charities qualify for a 10% print discount  for mail order transactions and we may also be able to zero rate the printed items for VAT.  For example, printed and bound books and booklets can be zero-rated for VAT.

From time to time we communicate details of any other special offers and it is advisable to register for our e-newsletters.

Q. What sort of manuals can be printed online?
 

Typically we print a lot of training materials.  However, we also print manuals for health & safety,  fitness, diets and exercise programmes.  For schools and colleges we produce Year Books and certificates as well as a very cheap option for brochure printing, presentation printing and newsletter printing.
